Initial indications were that the helicopter went down after mechanical failure, and there were no immediate signs that the aircraft had been shot down, the military said in a statement. But it said the cause of the crash was being investigated. Also Wednesday, a suicide car bomb killed 20 and wounded 50 in Baiji, the city about 100 miles north of Baghdad where Iraq's oil refining is concentrated. The Blackhawk UH-60 helicopter that crashed was one of two on a night operation. It was carrying four crew members and 10 passengers.
